Maintenance Technician
1st Shift Hours: Monday-Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm
Starting Wage: $35.00-$38.00+ per hour (based off experience)
As a Maintenance Technician you will perform preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems (mechanical, electrical). Will evaluate and recommend equipment improvements to improve availability, capability, and yield. This position will perform equipment failure analyses (including preventative and unscheduled maintenance). Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems in addition to preparation of technical reports to document equipment modifications and equipment maintenance procedures.
What You Will Do:
Diagnose and resolve equipment issues. This includes identifying faults, testing equipment, and using tools/creating tools to allow equipment to operate effectively.Ensure safe practices are followed when working on equipment to protect yourself and others from potential hazards. This includes knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures and working with personal protective equipment (PPE).Inspect, maintain, and repair equipment. This includes CNC equipment, tooling, motors, control panels, switches, etc.Effective communication working with other team members, supervisors, and vendors to help in understanding problems, explaining solutions, and coordinating tasks.Interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to understand the layout and connections of the equipment.What You Need to Succeed:
Associate’s degree or equivalent in a related field is preferred. 2 years of experience in a mechanical field, industrial or manufacturing setting is preferred. Knowledge of measuring instruments, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges, to verify part dimensions and ensure compliance with specifications. Understanding geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles.Familiar with setting up CNC machines, including loading tools, fixtures, and workpieces, and configuring machine parameters such as cutting speeds, feeds, and tool offsets. Operating the machine to execute programmed instructions accurately and efficiently.Ability to diagnose and resolve issues related to machine performance, tool wear, programming errors, and mechanical or electrical malfunctions. Familiarity with diagnostic tools and techniques.Keeping up with advancements in CNC technology, attending training programs, and staying updated with industry trends and best practices.Basic computer skills including MS Office and L2L.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds as necessary.Must be able and willing to work extended hours and weekends if needed.Ability to adjust quickly to changing demands.Must be able to work with limited supervision.Must be able to climb ladders and aerial work on platforms as needed.Why Work For Us?
