Your mission, roles and responsibilities

Job title:              Maintenance Graduate  
Location:             Pretoria    
Reporting to:       Maintenance Manager  
Contract:             12 months(FTC)    
Closing Date:      12 February 2025  

 

Main purpose of the role:

The Maintenance Graduate is responsible for ensuring an optimum process to support the production line, by managing the FMEA’s, process flow diagrams, standard manufacturing operations to produce parts that meet the customer specification at all time using Faurecia standards and tools.
Supporting the maintenance team by learning and contributing to various aspects of equipment upkeep, system efficiency, and process improvements. To be developed as Manufacturing Engineer.

 

Essential responsibilities and duties:

As a Maintenance Graduate, your main responsibilities are as follow: 

  Manage the technical processes, parameters & programs in assembly, milling, vibrations, US & HF welding robots/ processes with its fixtures/ tools.Lead and generate QRCI to investigate quality concern cause by equipment or process.Assist maintenance department in capturing and analyzing data to enhance decision-making and optimize operational performance.Support the Maintenance Manager in the review of process FMEAs.Support the Maintenance Manager in the review of process flow diagrams.Design and implement process design and implementation by supporting continuous improvement and production through participation to the process specialist network.Interface with the product engineer (D&D) regarding follow-up of the product conception: from the acquisition phase till SOP (+6months) whenever necessary.Define production equipment specifications and ensure that they are properly built and properly installed in the plant.Ensure continuous improvement by capitalizing on lessons learnt and provide best practices using tools like; process productivity analysis, improvement action plans, production equipment performance, trouble shooting and problem-solving process.Ensure HSE are at all times adhered to.

 

 

Qualifications and position requirements:

Education: National Diploma equivalent qualification in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering.Knowledge and experience: Experience on computer system.Valid driver's License.Excellent people and teamwork skills.Languages: Ability to speak, write and read the English language.
