BDA is looking for an Avionics (B2) Maintenance Training Instructor to join our team and support the 82WG Training Services (1SQN Training Flight) for the fleet of F/A-18F Super Hornets and EA-18G Growlers. This position is based in Amberley, Queensland. Your exceptional avionics experience and training skills will be vital in providing Aviation Maintenance Training for the ACEA Program in a unique and challenging environment.
Responsibilities will include:
Support the RAAF Training Flight Lead in training execution by supplementing existing team tasks, including course delivery, development, and management tasking.Develop and enhance Maintenance Training materials, including analysis, design, and development of courseware artefacts and learning management packages, as well as managing learning management systems.Ensure maintenance authorisation currency and the integrity of training products through ongoing involvement in Line and Base Maintenance activities, in accordance with DASR 66 requirements.Support the development and implementation of new Technical Training approaches, products, and processes.Maintain excellent communication skills, adhere to schedules, and effectively manage multiple tasks and time.Foster strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and peers.Deliver Aircraft Maintenance and substantive Technical Training courses to internal and external customers of the ACEA program.Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) support for training and operational activities as directed.Experience/Qualifications
Essential:
Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics).Military Aviation Maintenance License (MAML) with an existing Aircraft Type Certification or equivalent commercial qualification.A minimum of 5 years' experience working with F/A-18F Super Hornets, EA-18G Growlers, or equivalent Fast Jet Aircraft types.Experience in conducting training, assessment, and supervision in the current Aviation Maintenance environment.Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively in a multi-team environment and ensure successful learning outcomes.Established communication, multi-tasking, and time management skills.Applicants must be Australian Citizens and meet security clearance and ITAR requirements.Have a current /or the ability to obtain a NV1 Defence Security Clearance (minimum)Desirable:
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE10116 or equivalent) or a willingness to obtain this qualification.Experience and qualifications with an ARMTECH background.Awareness of enhanced training methods and an innovative mindset to implement and support flexible learning delivery of new technologies.Highly competent Aeroskills B2 Trade Instructor/Mentor with courseware development skills.Experience with Defence Aviation Safety Regulations.Culture:
