Summary

This location is part of our Prepared Foods Division. The Maintenance Training Supervisor is responsible for planning and execution of the Maintenance Training Program. This includes coordinating and preparing training literature manuals systems and leading class instruction on the fundamentals of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, refrigeration, and other job related maintenance subjects; maintaining training aids, student records, and scheduling classes; performing maintenance new hire orientation training for new maintenance team members; interfacing with appropriate vendors concerning training content and delivery; coordinating and leading safety training of the maintenance department; coordinating administering and assessing hands-on training requirements of maintenance personnel; assist with maintenance planning; and performing other tasks as deemed appropriate by the Manager. All Tyson Team Members are responsible for safety. This includes but is not limited to personal safety and food safety.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Experience: 4 plus years industrial maintenance experience required. Additional experience in refrigeration maintenance is preferred. Experience with factory start ups and maintenance trainingComputer Skills: Competent in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and the ability to learn Tyson SAP-Plant Maintenance system. Ability to create training aids  Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong presentation skills. Ability to present and train large classesSpecial Skills: Strong management skills; leadership skills, and strong organizational skills. Must have the ability to work independently with little supervision. The hours of the position vary depending on the needs of the Team Members as team members work various shifts.  Certifications: Certifications in any training topics or techniques is a plus. Lean management and continuous improvement is a plus  Travel: 1-5 trips per year as the need arises.Reports to: Maintenance Manager
