Position Summary:  Under general supervision, responsible for the basic maintenance, repair and preventative maintenance work of hospital equipment and grounds. Frequently works as an assistant to skilled trades and maintenance mechanics.

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Services, adjusts, and repairs basic mechanical equipment (tables, dressers, wheelchairs, etc.)Ensures all work areas are well lit and replace bulbs as needed.Performs basic preventative maintenance according to schedule check lists.Assists skilled trades and maintenance mechanics in more complex assignments.Maintains tools in proper repair and use proper safety techniques while completing assignments.

Qualifications:

Required:

High school diploma or equivalent. Valid state driver's license.Driving record must be within the approved insurance company’s regulations.

 

Preferred: 

Previous relevant experiencePrevious experience in health care industry.
