Maintenance Worker

The Maintenance Worker is responsible to perform maintenance services, repairs, and construction in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting, plastering, machine servicing, or vehicle servicing. Along with, inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment.

 

Job Responsibilities

Plan and lay out construction, repair and maintenance projects including initiating requests for supplies and materials.  Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to record and track preventive and corrective maintenance work orders.  Repair leaking faucets, clogged toilets, maintain all drainage lines, install, and maintain heating systems and HVAC units.  Makes repairs and modifications to building systems including windows, doors, sheetrock, ceiling tiles, floor tiles, roofing, carpeting etc. Maintain the system of locks and keys and handle locksmith duties. Change lamps, ballasts, install window air conditioning units, maintain washers and dryers, perform all electrical requests. Investigate and restore power outages. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures, such as fire egress, fire alarm operations, inspections of diesel tank, generator, etc. Follows all local, state, and federal building codes and regulations. Grounds repairs, some heavy equipment operation. Snow removal, plowing, shoveling, and salting.

Job Requirements

Minimum High School Diploma/GED required. Vocational training preferred. Minimum 1-3 years of experience in building or mechanical trades, preferably with HVAC experience Must have a current and valid driver's license with acceptable driving history to the Agency. Experience working with at risk youth, non-profit, construction, electrical, and plumbing a plus!  Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Team member will be required to work scheduled on call hours and respond to on site emergencies.

 

Pay Range

$19.23 to $28.85 (based on education & experience) 

 

Schedule

Monday - Friday; 8 am - 4 pm
