JOB SUMMARY:

With general supervision, responsible for building maintenance and act as back up person for mailroom responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Responsible for opening building; disarm alarms, open window shades

Dust all surfaces and mop floor in warehouse office

Clean windows in warehouse office, as needed

Dust surfaces, empty trash and mop floors in locker room, mail room, textile lab, test hang room and corridor

Sweep and maintain warehouse/operations areas

Wash floor weekly using floor scrubbing machine (requires coming in 1 hour early for one day or 30 minutes early over two days). Clean out machine after each use.

Dust warehouse/sample department shelving

Change light bulbs and ballasts (must not have fear of heights)

Keep kitchen clean and empty trash bins throughout the day

Maintain grounds

Seasonal: Put patio furniture out in the a.m. and bring inside in the p.m.

Seasonal: Shovel snow and apply ice melt as required

Understanding of ISO 14001 environmental management system & related monitoring responsibilities

Light carpentry & plumbing

Assemble furniture

Maintain company van

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Must have a valid driver’s license

Capable of handling light carpentry and minor plumbing repairs

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or Equivalent

1 to 3 years maintenance experience

HOURS:

Monday – Friday, 2:00 PM - 1O:00 PM with one hour for lunch

A starting compensation range for this role is $21 per hour.  Relevant salary considerations will include candidate qualifications and experience, other business/organizational needs and market factors.
