Center for Humanistic Change of New Jersey, Inc. (CHCNJ), is a non-profit social services organization that operates community-based group homes for adults with developmental disabilities. CHCNJ is seeking an experienced Maintenance Worker. Under direction of the Administrative Director, the Maintenance Worker is responsible for helping to ensure the health and safety of individuals residing and working at all CHCNJ locations. Duties of the Maintenance Worker include: + Timely performance of repairs, maintenance and upkeep as assigned in all CHCNJ locations + Assist with coordination of work with outside contractors + Work with all licensing entities, alarm contractors, DCA, local fire inspectors and other local officials to ensure compliance + Assist with oversight and maintenance of the CHCNJ vehicle fleet + Assist with oversight of CHCNJ's tool inventory to include purchasing, storage and maintenance + Assist with maintenance of the CHCNJ corporate office water system + Provide regular reports to the Administrative Director Qualifications include high school diploma or equivalent, experience in physical plant management, a drivers license valid in New Jersey with a CHCNJ-insurable driving, and previous employment and personal references. Knowledge of community based care and computer literate will be preferred.
