MAJOR GIFTS OFFICER (WIN)
**Overview** The **Major Gifts Officer (WIN)** is charged with developing and implementing strategies for securing financial support from a portfolio of donor prospects determined to have the ability to make major gifts ($10,000+). The incumbent will manage a portfolio of 125-150 individuals, including identifying, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major gifts. This position will focus on securing support for organization-wide priorities that include capital campaign support, unrestricted annual support, and special project support. **Responsibilities** 1. Manage the prospect/donor activity of Women’s Initiative Network (WIN) and other established programs as determined by the Assistant Vice President, Philanthropy. 2. Participate in all aspects of the gift cycle to cultivate prospective WIN donors and donors of other assigned programs at the Institute. Initiate contacts with potential major gift donors. 3. Develop appropriate cultivation strategies for donors, including working with WIN Leadership and members. 4. Move potential donors in an appropriate and timely fashion toward solicitation and closure. 5. Make solicitations to donors or potential donors when appropriate. 6. Maintain stewardship contacts with donors. Demonstrate empathetic disposition and perseverance, and convey sensitivity to the needs of the donors. 7. Promptly document all prospect actions to ensure positive and purposeful prospect and donor stewardship. 8. In cooperation with internal WIN team, develop strategies for all aspects of WIN fundraising events, membership, communications and volunteer opportunities. 9. Participate in WIN’s signature fundraising event committee meetings. 10. Work in tandem with gift officers, Assistant Vice President, Philanthropy and Assistant Vice President, Engagement to create a giving plan for select donors and/or corporate partners. 11. In collaboration of internal WIN team, oversee all aspects of WIN fundraising events, communications, and volunteer opportunities. 12.
