What you’ll do:
You will be part of an elite technician team that will work on a wide range of projects from large events, to assisting Utilities customers or being part of a turnaround team in a refinery.
Install, commission, service and repair Aggreko generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or OFA systems.
Install and commission for Major Projects and other complex projects
Troubleshoot equipment failures both on Major Projects and in service centers
Utilize mathematical formulas to calculate both nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements.
Read and comprehend electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals.
Maintain thorough knowledge of, practice, and promote safe working conditions in accordance with OSHA, EPA and other required regulations dealing with safe operation of all equipment.
Interface with a remote operations center to prevent failures, help design proactive notification to avoid failures and compliance.
We’re experts, which means you’ll have the following skills and experience:
Able to travel e extensively, up to 75%, and be away for extended periods of time
High school diploma/GED or equivalent
5-10 years' experience working on power generators, commercial HVAC equipment, and/or oil free air (OFA) compressors, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs Experience performance testing generators, HVAC, and oil free air equipment
Electrical Generating System Association technician or other various certifications are a plus but not required.
Knowledge using metering and instruments such as multi-meter’s, amp meters, and Hygrometers
Must have a valid Letter of Electrical Authorization, which is certification to work on electrical equipment for Aggreko. Must show completion of the Energy Safety Rules or pass the Aggreko Energy Safety rules and obtain an LEA within one month of employment.
Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card
Valid driver’s license
Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.
