Your Role: 

As a Make Bag Supervisor, you will oversee the production on Bag Making area. Your team consists of 15-25 employees.

Sets the example of safety and compliance for their teams and demonstrate expertise and breadth of knowledge in executing processes across a variety of production activities.Monitor the manufacture of products composed of varied materials.Assign work to employees in keeping with schedules and by difficulty involved, and instruct, direct, and check their work on a continuing basis.Evaluate work quality and quantity and resolve problems in quality and workmanship.Troubleshoot manufacturing problems and take corrective action.Discuss jobs with other supervisory, support personnel.Monitor department work activities.Receive and breakdown schedules, analyze jobs to determine machine, equipment and processing parameters as required.Interface with engineering, customer service, quality control, and other departments to obtain clear quality instructions, secure services and information.Schedule in urgent jobs and comply with revisions.Maintain discipline and employee moraleCheck timecard accuracy.Assist employees in planning, setting up and inspecting workTake immediate action to correct any unsafe practices observed and promote safe work practices.Discover causes and perform corrective actions when discrepancies occur.Perform scheduled training for safety, job orientated tasks, standard operating procedures, and/or housekeeping procedures.Attend all manufacturing meetings as scheduled.Conduct annual performance reviews for employees.Must be able to provide feedback and coach employees on their performance and when necessary, develop performance improvement plans.Interview applicants for employment.Maintain related records, files in up-to-date condition.Maintain office area and equipment in clean, safe, and orderly condition.Follow established company/department rules and regulations and maintain quality standard.Perform other related duties as directed or as responsibilities dictate.

 

D-Shift:  Friday-Sunday from 6:00am to 6:00pm   

 

Who You Are:

High School Diploma or GED   2+ years of lead OR supervisor experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong leadership skills: motivate employees and coordinate activities, performance manage, and handle any disciplinary issues that may ariseStrong problem-solving skillsProven track record of working collaboratively and communicating successfully in a cross-functional and multi-cultural environmentStrong communication skills: engage employees, provide clear explanations of required tasks, strong verbal, and written communication, communicate clearly with support functions and other departmentsDemonstrate strong quality knowledge: GMP/GDP, ISO standardsIntermediate computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft OfficeAbility to adapt and thrive in a constantly changing business environmentPrevious manufacturing, quality/compliance or warehouse experienceERP experience (e.g. Oracle or SAP)Experience with TrackWiseLean Six Sigma and/or root cause analysis training
