We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Lab Assistant to join our dynamic team in our genetic testing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in laboratory work and a passion for scientific research.
Duties:
Process leaf and seed samples for DNA extraction, operating various lab equipment including PCR and sequencing machines to obtain high-quality resultsManage sample organization, meet testing deadlines, and maintain detailed records while ensuring sample integrity throughout the testing processCollaborate with team members, train contract staff, and participate in data quality analysis and process improvement initiativesHandle laboratory logistics including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and maintaining a clean work environmentUpdate task tracking tools, participate in team meetings, and adhere to safety protocols while demonstrating strong attention to detail in all tasksCompany Description

Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field and 2+ years of experience.Proven laboratory experience, including pipetting techniques.Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow scientific protocols.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent mathematical and measurement skills.Familiarity with experimental design principles.Preferred:
Experience in genetic testing or related fields.Knowledge of DNA extraction and PCR techniques.Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS).Additional Information
