Under the direction of the Director of Imaging Services and the Medical Director of Radiology performs mammography examinations, needle localizations, and needle biopsies with a high degree of accuracy and independent judgment. Assists with FDA/ACR certification. Responsible for performing radiology procedures by producing, accessing, and evaluating images and related data used by physicians to render a medical diagnosis of adult and geriatric patients. Ensures that all required paperwork, medical record and billing applications are completed in an accurate and timely manner. Performs a variety of procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative. Performs duties of radiology technologist as needed including DEXA procedures. Maintains orderliness and cleanliness to insure aseptic conditions. Assists with quality care and customer service initiatives and in meeting the financial viablity of the department. Follows Trios Health rules, policies, procedures, applicable laws and standards.
