Job Summary: Under the direction of the Radiology Manager, assumes supervisory responsibility for the operation, equipment, personnel, and other related considerations of the Mammography Section of the Diagnostic Center. Coordinates patient scheduling/flow and other related duties as needed.

Minimum Requirements: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Science. Must be registered by the ARRT in Radiography, Mammography, and Ultrasound (preferred). A minimum of five years of experience as a mammographer is required. Mammography supervision and exposure in other modalities are preferred. The Mammography Supervisor must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care to the age of the patients served in their assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in the departmental policies and procedures.
