The technologist will be responsible for following the protocols that are in place, explaining the procedure and answering any and all questions or concerns of the patient. Operates the X-ray equipment by setting controls and making any required adjustments to procure required images.
Solves problems as they arise during patient exams. Performs and positions the patients for X-ray exams according to the department's standard procedures. Practices radiation safety to both the patient and co-workers. Performs QA and other job related duties such as cleaning and re-stocking of the area. Follows all office policies/procedure, HIPAA, ACR and NYS DOH requirements. Demonstrates knowledge of Radiology operating systems such as PACS, EMR, RIS and reports any malfunctioning of the equipment and notifies appropriate person. Performs other duties as required.
Associates Degree in Medical Radiography or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. License and Registration (ARRT) required or eligible. Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required.
Pay Range; $35.00-$40.00/hr
Employee salary is based on commensurate experience and other qualifications.
