Expanding Hope - Los Angeles Campus
A cornerstone of City of Hope’s plans to increase capacity to deliver care, the new Duarte Outpatient Center, Hope Plaza, is scheduled to open in February 2025. At eight stories and over 350,000 square feet, the facility will become the largest ambulatory care building on campus. The center will house state-of-the-art equipment, specialty clinics, new radiation oncology vaults, defined units to facilitate patient navigation, laboratory services and dedicated clinical trial infusion and monitoring. Enclosed walkways and bridges between buildings will offer safer and more comfortable space for travel, especially for those who are immunocompromised.
Under the guidance of the Women's Imaging Manager, the Mammography Technologist Lead oversees daily floor operations and assists in planning while maintaining a patient-centered focus. This role involves performing a variety of breast imaging services, assisting physicians with radiologic exams and biopsies, preparing equipment and procedure rooms, and supporting invasive biopsy procedures. The Lead also manages patient scheduling, maintains quality control, ensures compliance with MQSA requirements, and provides necessary documentation for patient tracking, billing, and film management.
As a successful candidate, you will:
Perform diagnostic imaging procedures of the breast, including mammography, image guide for biopsy, and image guide for localizationPrepare the patient, explains the procedure, and ensures patient’s cooperation during the examinationAssist the radiologist, cardiologist, and/or clinician during radiologic procedures, including invasive and non-invasive studies.Prepare room and equipment for patients; prepare reagents following standard formulas and proceduresSupport the Imaging Manager in daily operations and MQSA requirementsQualifications
Your qualifications should include:
