*Description* Attention Mammography Technologist looking for PRN work!! The Danbury Hospital Breast Center is looking for a Mammo Tech to work PRN work Saturday 8am--4:30pm This is a great opportunity to work with a dynamic, cohesive and passionate team of healthcare professionals. PRN rate is $50/hour plus shift and weekend differentials. Summary: Performs mammography procedures to help physicians in the care of their patients and supports the hospital's objective of quality patient care. Responsibilities: 1. Greets patients, introduces self, and checks patient identification. 2. Reviews patient's script to insure that the appropriate exam is being performed. 3. Explains procedure and ensures the safety and comfort of patient. 4. Produces images and analysis images for interpretation to the Radiologist. 5. Assists Radiologist with invasive procedures. 6. Requires knowledge of MQSA requirements and adheres to them. 7. Performs QA tests daily on equipment. 8. Maintains familiarity of computer system to complete orders and cancel exams as necessary. 9. Recalls patient's prior exam history as pertinent to exam. 10. Exposure with other modalities. 11. Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position. 12. Performs other duties as assigned. Education: HS GRAD/EQUIVALENT Other Information: Required: Minimum Experience: one year Desired: Experience with patient care in a radiology setting. Specialty certification. Working Conditions: Manual: significant manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity Occupational: Significant occupational risk Physical Effort: Very Heavy effort.
