Mammography Technologist Day Shift

Description:

The Mammography Technologist provides skills and knowledge necessary to perform mammography procedures and clinical breast examinations in the diagnostic and/or screening mammography areas of Medical Imaging in Idaho and Oregon.  Maintain patient and procedure documentation.  Maintains equipment and instrument knowledge pertinent to high quality exams.  Provides effective internal and external patient communication consistent with age and mental capacity.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required.

Must obtain Mammography registry through ARRT within one (1) year of hire. 

Colleague must have and maintain an active Medical Imaging License issued by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI).  

Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required. (ACLS and/or PALS may be accepted in lieu of BLS)

Must have active driving privileges.

GOOD TO HAVE:

Three years of radiology experience.

Previous mammography experience.
