Job Overview:
The Mammography Technologist performs routine and advanced mammography procedures within the scope defined by regulatory and departmental standards.

Per Diem schedulingDay ShiftMust be willing to cover other JW Breast Center sites as needed.Essential Functions:
Performs routine mammography, diagnostic mammography, breast biopsies as required. DEXA scan procedures and general x-ray s as required. Knowledge of QC for all mammography equipment. All technologists are required for coverage at satellite offices as neededAssists in maintaining QA and PI functions as directed. Understands and utilizes effective infection control, such as hand washing and universal precautionsReviews last mammography exam in McKesson PACS and reports in mammography RIS system Consults Radiologist and/or otherMaintains technical competency in all digital technology related to mammography services: Mammogrpahy RIS, IDX, Penrad, McKesson technologyAccesses and enters computer data for various patient and information requirements. Knowledgeable of McKesson PACS and the Mammogrpahy RIS systemAssists physician in coordinating information, materials and supplies before, during and after examPerforms all other duties as assignedChoosing RWJBarnabas Health!
