Our team of board-certified radiologists, technologists, and support personnel is dedicated to delivering the most accurate, safe, timely, and compassionate medical imaging and interventional radiology services. We offer onsite training to become a Mammography Technologist.
ResponsibilitiesComplete a 40-hour initial Mammography training course, including 8 hours of training in digital mammography.Complete 8 hours of training in Tomosynthesis.Pass the California State Mammography Licensing Exam.Assist with daily screening and diagnostic imaging using 2D and Tomosynthesis (3D) technology.Set up and operate mammography machines.Essential SkillsExperience in radiology, x-ray, and imaging.Ability to perform 2D and 3D imaging screenings and diagnostics.Proficient in machine setup for mammography.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree in radiologic sciences required; bachelor’s degree in radiologic sciences preferred.Current ARRT, CPR, and CRT licenses.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Experience with PACS systems is a plus.Work Environment
We are looking for three Mammography Trainees to work at our locations in San Diego, Oceanside, Encinitas, La Jolla, Hillcrest, National City, and Chula Vista, where we operate 11 mammography machines. Our facilities are open 365 days a year, welcoming patients from 7 AM to 9 PM, with closures on six holidays. However, we do accept volunteers from our technicians for patients needing services on those days. The preferred work shift is Thursday through Sunday.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $38.00/hr.
