Those in cloud operations at PwC will focus on managing and optimising cloud infrastructure and services to enable seamless operations and high availability for clients. You will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and implementing industry leading practices for cloud-based systems.

Site Reliability Engineer and Automation Engineer

SRE or Automation Lead/Admin will review the day-to-day activities of the delivery, processes and automation required for all service offerings being developed that assist clients on their cloud Managed Service Delivery. This individual will work with one or multiple clients to gather requirements and the corresponding work needed based on the client’s Cloud Journey roadmap.

Responsibilities

Automation role supports our services that focus on following technologies, including Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, APMManage IT effort in artificial intelligence and machine learning to simplify IT Operations management and accelerate and automate problem resolution in complex modern IT environmentsSystem and process automation support of a 24x7 monitoring of the IT environment that provides critical business and engineering infrastructure and application support servicesSelection, integration, and operation of enterprise management tools and application that provides actionable service event notification and communication, to ensure the right information is provided to the right people at the right timeSelection, integration, automation and operational support of systems and services that enables IT to provide critical business application and infrastructure services to different clientsCritical Incident Management and communicationCollaborates and coordinates with all IT infrastructure and application groups to ensure all critical infrastructure components are monitored for availability, performance and capacity, using available tools and techniquesEnsures all incidents are addressed in a timely manner, using sophisticated notification and escalation system and processResponsible for deploying and enhancing system monitoring solutions that will improve the performance and reliability of the managed Infrastructure on prem & in different cloud environmentsEnsure the configuration and accuracy of the monitoring systems for the existing infrastructure (physical servers, virtual machines, network and hardware)Work with members of the infrastructure and development teams to gather requirements and design solutions to meet monitoring needs of new and existing products and servicesDevelop key business dashboards based on monitoring dataImplement proactive health checks and internal audits to ensure comprehensive and reliable monitoring coverageCollaborate with cross functional stakeholders to deliver monitoring and proactive alerting as part of our standard service delivery

Basic Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technology field preferred Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience on monitoring tools for performance and availability monitoring, alerting, and resolutions.Strong working knowledge of ITIL principles and ITSM Current understanding of industry trends and methodologies Outstanding verbal and written communication skills Excellent attention to detail
