As a/an Management Analyst, you will: Provide support to supervisors and staff in the Office of Multifamily Housing, including administrative functions, scheduling, and tracking of progress toward Office goals, logistics, and production of events. Perform analysis and advisory assignments related to the effectiveness of government programs and or the efficiency of the management of government operations. Assist management in the Office of Multifamily Housing to administer program related to the organization's mission, including the performance of administrative and programmatic duties. Make recommendations for improvement in the effectiveness and efficiency of work operations; develop new methods, organizational structures and management processes; counsel and advise program managers on methods and procedures, management surveys, management reports, and control techniques; and provide operational support to management in the Office. Requirements Conditions of Employment The official duty station for this position will be in Washington, District of Columbia. Specialized Experience: For the GS-12 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: - Gathering and analyzing information to propose changes or improvements in organization, staffing, work methods or procedures; AND - Identifying resources required to support varied levels of program operations; AND - Researching and investigating new or improved business and management practices for application to programs or operations; AND - Performing analytical studies and projects. Specialized Experience: For the GS-11 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: - Participating in efficiency studies and recommending changes or improvements in organization, staffing, work methods or procedures; AND - Identifying resources required to support varied levels of program operations; AND - Researching and investigating new or improved business and management practices for application to programs or operations; AND - Participating in special projects or tasks. OR Education: You may substitute education for general or specialized experience as follows: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degreeOR3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.M., if related OR Combination: You may qualify by a combination of experience and education. To combine education and experience, the total percentage of experience at the required grade level compared to the specialized experience requirement, as well as the percentage of completed education compared to the education requirement must equal at least 100 percent. Only graduate level education in excess of the first 36 semester hours (54 quarter hours) may be combined to be considered for qualifying education. Specialized Experience: For the GS-09 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: - Participating in efficiency studies for changes or improvements in organization, staffing, work methods or procedures; AND - Assisting with researching and investigating new or improved business and management practices for application to programs or operations.; AND - Providing and implementing resources that have been identified to support program operations. OR Education: You may substitute education for general or specialized experience as follows: Master's or equivalent graduate degreeOR2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.B. or J.D., if related OR Combination: You may qualify by a combination of experience and education. To combine education and experience, the total percentage of experience at the required grade level compared to the specialized experience requirement, as well as the percentage of completed education compared to the education requirement must equal at least 100 percent. Only graduate level education in excess of the first 18 semester hours (27 quarter hours) may be combined to be considered for qualifying education. Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Education The education generally must be from an accredited (or pre-accredited) college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
