Summary About the Position: Serves as an Army Service Component Command (ASCC) Senior Management Analyst (Force Structure) with responsibility for all force management actions for assigned Army Space, Missile Defense, and High Altitude (SRC 40) force structure and programs. Applies a broad knowledge of Space and Missile Defense capabilities and doctrine to ensure compatibility between ongoing force structure programming efforts and the conduct of force structure analysis/studies. Responsibilities Manage all aspects of force design and organization integration for assigned Army SRC40 (Space, Missile Defense, and High Altitude). Coordinate with the Reserve Components (National Guard Bureau, and Office of the Chief of Army Reserve) to develop multi-component solutions. Present and explain Force Management plans, regulations, policies, decisions and guidance concerning force development, force structure, force integration, and force requirements/modernization. Conduct force analysis to identify Army SRC40 force structure shortfalls and generate DOTMLPF and unit structure required to mitigate capability shortfalls. Assist in the development of Army Space Future Capability Workbooks. Manages USASMDC participation in the Total Army Analysis (TAA) process to determine future Army Space and Missile Defense force structure. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes analyzing and evaluating manpower, and equipment requirements in order to design force structure requirements; develop organizational and operational principles, concepts and techniques; providing technical advisory services on force development and Table Organization and Equipment (TOE). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02/GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and Management Organizational Performance Analysis Project Management Written Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (NH-02/GS-11). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required.
