SUMMARY

 

The Department of State (DoS), Bureau of Administration, Office of Logistics Management, Program Management and Policy (A/ LM/PMP) contract is looking for a qualified Management Analyst I.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.

Assist with drafting statements of work and aid in management with the monitoring of executed contracting tasks.

Assist in analyzing and improving knowledge of management processes and procedures and/or office programs. Assist in analyzing management information requirements to develop program or administrative reporting systems including the systems specifications, data gathering and analytical techniques, and systems evaluation methodology. Assist in generating reports, letters, and other documents for management programs, policies, and activities. Assists with the development of new or revised management systems or procedures to facilitate the operation of programs within established guidelines. Performs basic administrative and financial analysis. Provides entry level research, spreadsheet development, data collection, and analysis. Prepares first drafts of various recurring reports such as monthly, quarterly, cumulative semi-annual and cumulative annual reports. Provides day-to-day support in diverse program activities and projects. Performs other related duties as assigned. Develop and maintain strong relationships through excellent customer service skills, project management knowledge, and a related understanding of the program office needs and mandates. QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; sufficient to draft action and info memos, congressional testimony, press guidance and congressional and general correspondence. Advanced knowledge using Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity in developing project and program plans, goals, objectives, and milestones involving complex programs, systems, or issues of critical importance to the entire organization. Knowledge in assessing project progress, conducting briefings, and preparing comprehensive reports with solutions and recommendations for top-level managers and executives.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No supervisory responsibilities.

 

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
