This position is assigned to the Maine Revenue Services, Operations Division, Operations Security Team.
This position will provide a supporting role in the development of MRS operational policies, procedures, and plans to safeguard the agency. These safeguards align with the agency’s oversight and regulatory requirements. An understanding of interagency cooperation is required for this position. The analytical work produced by this position will enhance current operations and prepare the agency for the execution of Business Continuity/ Disaster Recovery plans.
This position will develop mitigation recommendations, aid implementation of corrective action plans, research best practices for safeguards relative to MRS’s needs, identify and report on organizational needs, collect and analyze data, build consensus, plan work and develop contingency options to enhance safeguard operations and business continuity. This position will maintain a high level of work quality and foster and support cooperative interaction with all work groups.
Work may include overseeing, monitoring, and assigning the work of subordinate employees.
TYPICAL DUTIES
+ Act as part of a team that is responsible for the coordination and execution of disaster recovery, emergency response, and business continuity preparedness - assisting in exercise, planning, and documentation activities as required.
+ Consult with operational and other agency personnel with a goal toward analyzing protection systems which provide maximum safeguard of the physical environment.
+ Research, analyze, and advocate updates to procedures to align MRS with industry best practices.
+ Research, evaluate, develop and update safeguard processes to ensure MRS has protections in place for personnel, sensitive information, facilities, hardware, programs, and data.
+ Support contract and RFP activities by drafting, editing and coordinating safeguard-related sections.
+ Manage MRS relationships with vendors and inter-agency partners that manage physical security and other services for MRS buildings.
+ Provide analysis, assist with project development, system design, and completes acceptance testing for implementation of technology projects.
+ Prepare detailed reports, metrics, and benchmarks to assess safeguard-related programs and maintain other department-specific information in various security databases.
+ Research, develop, maintain goals for safeguards and business continuity that aligns with the agency’s strategy.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Eight (8) years of education, training, and/or experience analyzing, evaluating, and/or developing improvements to organizational and/or managerial systems, programs, and practices.
