MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT

 

Position Highlights:

 

Performs a variety of administrative and secretarial duties in support of Team Member Health Services (TMHS), requiring a high degree of competence, skill and independent action to enhance the smooth operation of both the Occupational Health and Team Member Medical clinics and the professional work environment. Able to work independently without supervision. Supports the Team Member Health Services management and staff in the general operations. Manages multiple tasks simultaneously and presents a positive demeanor and high level of customer service to team members of all levels, employment candidates and other visitors. Discreetly handles large amounts of sensitive and confidential information concerning team member health issues. Undertakes responsibilities in support of the entire TMHS department, with primary focus being on administrative support of the Occupational Health clinic functions. The Management Assistant represents and supports the mission, philosophy and goals of the Cancer Center and applies organizational and administrative skills associated with the efficient operation of the department.

 

The Ideal Candidate:

 

Familiarity with office organization protocols and procedures. High level of problem-solving skills, ability to multitask, pay close attention to detail and strong communication skills and interpersonal effectiveness required. Familiarity with medical and business terminology, software programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required, and data processing exposure preferred.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Acts as primary for answering the telephone, messages and appointments. Maintains all departmental functions timely and accurately in accordance with established departmental procedures performing various administrative support functions for the entire TMHS department. Acts as initial impression of Team Member Health Services department and its services, with primary focus on Occupational Health aspects. Manages office and medical supplies inventory and orders as needed to maintain supplies. Supports the TMHS Manager. Mail and email management. Meeting & compliance activity coordination. All other duties as requested in support of the efficient functionality of Team Member Health Services, both the Occupational Health and the Team Member Medical clinics.

 

Credentials and Qualifications:

 

High School Diploma/GED required. One (1) year administrative support experience.
