This role will help manage, support, and monitor a wide variety of site-level and regional projects. From design to data and from strategy to development, you need to love getting into the weeds with problems to figure out how to break down barriers, improve our organizational capabilities and build sustainable solutions. You will also be expected to think creatively, identify data trends, suggest improvements, and help create efficient processes. This individual will work closely with leadership to ensure that each project’s scope and direction are on schedule and meeting the objective it was designed for. You will be working with a driven APAC CommOps team, employees, stakeholders, and management and will often be required to multitask skillfully. We have a small but competent and motivated team that drives APAC CommOps’ regional and local strategy, goals, and execution. #### **About the Team** The APAC CommOps organization is responsible for leading programs that directly benefit the users of the Uber platform. For example, based on data and sentiments collected from riders, earners (drivers, delivery partners, restaurant owners, etc), a specific group/ team within APAC CommOps will deliver long-term solutions (ex: addressing fraud). Here are some teams: - **Customer Experience (CX) team:** Designs the end-to-end customer support experience for the products we offer. This team defines the journey structure to ensure world-class support from Uber. - **Digital Experience (DX) team:** Designs product improvements and automation for a better Uber app experience. - **Risk and Identity team:** Takes care of Uber user identity security by integrating applicable legal laws and regulations, preventing fraud and ensuring safety both for the earners and the riders. - **New Verticals team:** Manages discovery and implementation of new Uber products or services in existing or new markets. - **Agent Success team:** Manages internal knowledge base to ensure that customer support teams provide the most accurate and effective solutions to all Uber app users. Calibrates quality standards to ensure compliance and customer satisfaction. - **Strategy and Planning (S&P):** S&P mainly focuses on understanding where improvements can be made to the overall structure, governance, and strategy of the teams in Community Operations. **What You’ll Do** - **Project Management:** Manage, support and monitor various regional and site level projects, across multiple teams dealing with subject matters such as quality and service improvements, creating and improving capabilities, data analytics, migrations, people initiatives, reporting improvements, process standardization. Ensuring that the following parameters are followed: - Execute within scope, time, and budget - Capture the right scope during the discovery phase - Drive project sponsor towards benefit realization from the onset - Ensure that all project documentation is completed - Estimate work efforts, define milestones and manage resources accordingly, while driving adherence and compliance to deadlines on deliverables as assigned to projects - **Communication:** You will be responsible for communicating directly and collaborating with your team members and stakeholders. Presenting organized thoughts and producing concise, and error-free materials such as reports, summaries, data tables, charts, emails, etc. in a flow. - **Planning & Organizing:** You are expected to possess the utmost planning and organizing skills. - Accountable for ensuring that all deliverables are completed on-time either by yourself or by your resource - Create short-term plans and timelines for executing tasks and to proactively inquire about individual deadlines and shift priorities as needed - Develop, implement, and govern new processes for specific functions, and provide visibility to the milestones and performance across all functions. - **Problem Solving:** You are expected to understand fundamental, well-scoped problems and ask clarifying questions to generate actionable insights and propose simple frameworks and methodologies that consider the business context. Part of this is ensuring that the following parameters are followed: - Choose, organize, and manage data effectively ensuring that appropriate checks are conducted. - Proactively work to remove or escalate risks or issues and enable forward momentum and progress - Identify problems and opportunities using root cause analysis - **Continuous Improvement:** You are responsible for monitoring, participating in, and documenting process improvement projects to drive better performance and profitability. You will be asked to identify process gaps and propose feasible solutions that improve COE’s performance and use cost-benefit analyses in decision-making for the short- and long-term. - **Teamwork:** As part of a team, you are expected to maintain healthy working relationships with your teammates, even in disagreement. You should be able to compromise when necessary to help the team achieve goals. It is also expected that you exude behaviors that promote a team environment where team members can communicate and contribute freely and express themselves diplomatically. - **Stakeholder management:** As a project manager, you will work with different teams and stakeholders and properly manage your relationships with them. You’ll do this by doing the following: - Keeping them informed on the progress, changes, and other vital issues that may come up. - Work with APAC senior leadership as a thought partner to ensure that we are able to achieve desired goals and work towards timely execution. - Source and use feedback gathered from the stakeholders whether internal or external and make sure necessary adjustments are made. **Qualifications** **Basic qualifications** - **Experience:** - 0-2 years experience ( Exp. in Project Management is good to have) - Internal: Must be performing at the current role for 6 months - Has worked to coordinate across multiple teams to develop strategies and foster a cohesive and creative work environment - **Technical Skills:** Strong familiarity with the following tools: - Google Sheets / Excel - Google Slides / Powerpoint - Google Docs / Word - **Critical thinking:** Should be able to identify the root cause of a problem through a deep-dive analysis and suggest initiatives to resolve the identified issue. - **Communication:** Able to communicate insightful and meaningful recommendations to the team. **Preferred qualifications (Nice to have)** Familiarity / Experience in the following: - Asana or any project management tool - Surveymonkey / Google Forms - Google Data Studio / Tableau - SQL / Python programming skills - Lean Six Sigma Methodology / formal project management education - COPC Exposure (Either on HPMT, Customer Journey Mapping, or BPCX) **Please Note: Work Authorzation to work Full-time in the Philippines is required for this role.** We welcome people from all backgrounds who seek the opportunity to help build a future where everyone and everything can move independently.
