Inviting applications for the role of a Management Trainee, Accounts Payable

We are looking for someone who can handle the Accounts Payable function. Also, assist associates to identify implement AP improvements. You are a Finance and Accounting Subject Matter Guide with relevant experience in accounts payable process.

Responsibilities

Accounts Payable Operations

Sound understanding and experience in AP on Invoice processing, Payments, Helpdesk Vendor reconciliations.

Review and process invoices along with providing resolutions.

Release the invoices for Payment timely and accurately

Ensure that all payment runs get completed as agreed with the customer.

Resolve all vendor queries and requests coming via e-mails/Tickets/calls within the agreed SLA. Ensure queries are comprehended well and responded completely

Follow up with requisitions (via calls/emails or tickets) to solve invoice issues as per the AP guideline

Able to think through how to reduce helpdesk queries and help in process improvements.

Adhere the internal compliance policy and guideline established by the management on their daily operational activities

Perform daily internal audit to ensure all Invoices / queries are handled as per the guidelines.

Achieving the contractually agreed KPIs / SLAs for owned process.

Experience in handling weekly/ monthly governance meetings with internal and external stakeholders

Tax Legal Compliance

Ensure adherence to VAT and other applicable tax regulations in AP transactions.

Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and reconciliations.

Maintain compliance with legal and regulatory standards in financial operations.

Communication

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a customer service mentality is a must

Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and ownership mentality, displays a willingness to challenge the status quo leading to the creation and implementation of excellent processes.

Support finance leadership with ad hoc analysis and reporting needs

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications

B.Com Graduate

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field

Rich experience in Accounts Payable

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

Previous experience in governance meetings and managing relationships with Key Accounts Managers

Preferred qualifications

Good interpersonal skills

Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvement.

Familiarity with industry regulations related to collections and dispute resolution.

In-depth knowledge of accounting, best practices, and their integration within required systems.

Hands-on experience in navigating complex collections and dispute scenarios.

Interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and with a team.

Computer savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
