Management Trainee - Finance & Controlling
**The Positon** We develop pioneering therapies and health solutions, many of them crucial for patients’ survival. Our team is made up of 54,000 colleagues worldwide. We are a family-owned company and maintain that family feel despite our size. So we want our people to have it really good – from their salary, to tip-top technical facilities, to job security, and much more. (Not to mention our terrific canteens and trendy cafés on campus!) Now we are looking for **trainees** to join our two-year **Finance and Controlling program** . Our trainee program is designed to equip you for your future in a management or expert role with us. On our DISCOVER (https://www.boehringer-ingelheim.com/de/karriere/karrieremoeglichkeiten/trainee-program-discover) platform, you’ll be networking with 30 to 40 highly creative fellow trainees from all over the world! Whether Global Business Services, Corporate Finance, Finance Germany or Purchasing, you’ll rotate through lots of different departments, staying in each one for four to five months at a time. To begin with, we’ll discuss with you which departments would be most relevant and exciting for you. You’ll start off at the Ingelheim site where you’ll learn about our Controlling tools, familiarize yourself with our systems and get involved in budget planning and long-term forecasting, essentially giving you the opportunity to immerse yourself in our day-to-day business. You’ll also take responsibility for your own projects, focusing on questions like: Where can we do even better? Where are we perhaps lacking a process? Your creativity is called for and we can’t wait to hear your ideas! As soon as you have mastered the basics, you’ll be deployed in larger-scale, often global projects involving, for example, the international roll-out of new tools. And after that? We’ll send you abroad for around three months, perhaps to Dubai, Buenos Aires, Shanghai, Amsterdam, Spain, France, or Italy. We’ll always try to factor in your wishes when deciding where to assign you. During your rotation, you will of course get to meet lots of new people. We’ll also appoint a mentor from the senior management team for you. The trainee circle will also meet in regular leadership talks with senior management from all the different business units in order to discuss work, share experience and knowledge, and many other things, thereby giving you the chance to establish a valuable network. The trainee circle also often gives rise to personal friendships too. **Your skills, your experience and what makes you who you are** + You have just completed a master’s degree in finance or economics and have some practical experience in accounting, controlling or similar. + If you have a background in pharmaceuticals or the natural sciences, that’s also great! + It would also be useful if you’ve already spent an extended period abroad. + Your English must be flawless. And if you can also speak German or some other language, even better. + Our focus in the trainee program is on young professionals and the rotation will help you to discover where your strengths lie. And even if you already possess some professional experience, you can still feel free to apply. **Things to look forward to** + You’ll come into contact with some super-exciting themes and subjects. For example, we will potentially launch about 20 new therapies in Human Pharma until 2030. You might even get the chance to meet our quantum computing experts. Remember, though, whatever the area, you’ll be viewing everything from a financial perspective. + And what else? You and your fellow trainees will get the chance to take part in lots of seminars, for example, in change management as well as negotiation and leadership trainings. There will of course also be ample opportunity for after-work activities. + Once a year, the trainee community organizes a big get-together – the ‘Trainee Days’ – in Ingelheim, Vienna, or Biberach. + We’ll offer as much support and assistance as we can with things like arranging your work visa, looking for an apartment and so on. + After two successful years in the trainee program, we’ll then work with you to find the position that best suits you within our company. **Sounds good?** If so, apply now! The application process involves three steps: Step 1: The job posting is presumably online until May 8th, 2025. **Please include your current transcript of records or a document showing your final grade.** Step 2: Take part in an online meeting with Recruiting. The interviews will take place from the beginning to the end of May. Step 3: We'll invite the best candidates to a two-day assessment center in Ingelheim (5–6 June 2025). Travel and accommodation expenses are on us. On the first day, we’ll introduce you to us and our business – think of this as our ‘application’ to you. And on the second day, you’ll have the opportunity to show us what you’re made of. **Ready to contact us? ** If you have any questions about the job posting or process - please contact our HR Direct Team, Tel: +49 (0) 6132 77-3330 or via mail: hr.de@boehringer-ingelheim.com All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to a person’s actual or perceived race, including natural hairstyles, hair texture and protective hairstyles; color; creed; religion; national origin; age; ancestry; citizenship status, marital status; gender, gender identity or expression; sexual orientation, mental, physical or intellectual disability, veteran status; pregnancy, childbirth or related medical condition; genetic information (including the refusal to submit to genetic testing) or any other class or characteristic protected by applicable law.
