About the team

The Enterprise East Sales team engages with some of the largest and fastest-growing businesses in the world to take advantage of Stripe’s solutions. You'll lead and coach high-performing sales executives dispersed along the Central and East Coast, helping them deliver on ambitious targets, as well as roll up your sleeves to work directly with prospective Stripe customers. 

What you’ll do

Responsibilities

Recruit and Lead: Build, mentor, and develop a high-performance sales team dedicated to driving new logo partnerships, amplifying our go-to-market (GTM) presence.

Training and Development: Equip your team with essential skills, including collaborative pipeline generation, consultative and solution-based selling techniques, effective closing tactics, and adoption of the MEDDIC framework. Cultivate a mindset of serving as Trust Advisors to Stripe users.

Strategic Vision: Define and execute both long-term vision and short-term strategies for the team, while managing day-to-day operations to ensure alignment with Stripe’s overall goals.

Revenue Accountability: Own the operational net revenue and activation targets to profitably grow Stripe's revenue.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a key liaison between sales, product, and marketing teams to ensure our solutions are well-aligned with client needs and market trends.

Who you are

We seek a self-motivated, strategic leader with a proven record as a builder and problem-solver. You excel in high-growth environments and are comfortable navigating ambiguity. You’re passionate about developing talent and achieving targets while uplifting your team's performance.

Minimum requirements

Experience: A minimum of 10 years in account executive roles, with at least 5 years of frontline sales management experience in technology, SaaS, banking, or payments. Experience in second-line management is preferred.

Coaching Skills: Proven track record in training and scaling high-performance sales teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and success.

Relationship Building: Expertise in establishing relationships with strategic clients, industry thought leaders, and alliances & channel partners.

Growth Mindset: Extensive experience operating in early-stage, high-growth technology environments, ready to embrace and drive change.

Passion for Stripe: A genuine enthusiasm for Stripe’s mission, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly while building rapport with technical customers.

Location Preference: The primary location for this role is Chicago (in-office preferred), with the possibility of being based in New York (in-office). We encourage candidates in these locations to apply for this exciting opportunity.
