**Responsibilities**
**Summary** : ***Remote/Virtual role to support team in MST***
Manager Accounting oversees accounting department functions with a focus on ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of financial statements and reporting. Manager Accounting generally has several direct reports and work to allocate tasks evenly across the team. Manager Accounting is responsible for driving team performance and getting the most out of individual contributors.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Oversee and manage the general and operational accounting functions
+ Assist with quarterly and year-end financial audit activities and the annual SOX financial controls audit
+ Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements
+ Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
+ Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested
+ Supervise and/or manage general ledger accounting functions
+ Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships
+ Work with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at interim and year-end
**Qualifications**
**Required Skills:**
+ Thorough knowledge of US Gaap
+ Lead and direct the work of others
+ Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

+ Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
+ Problem solving and decision making skills
+ Strong prioritization skills and takes initiative in order to deliver results.
**Preferred Skills:**
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills; JD Edwards, Great Plains (or other ERP system), Jedox (or other BI reporting tool) and Blackline reconciliation and task management tool
+ Financial presentation experience
**Physical Role Requirements** : Be seated at a computer intermittently for up to eight hours a day. Move up to 10 pounds occasionally, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects. Sitting for long periods of time while using office equipment such as computers and phones. Repetitive motions using hands and digits; such as movement of wrists, hands and fingers while picking, pinching and typing during your normal working environment.
**Minimum Education, Licensure and Professional Certification requirements:** Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a CPA recommended
**Minimum Experience required** _(number of years necessary to perform role)_ : 5+ years of related work experience including 1 years of management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

**Other/State Specific**
_This role pays between $116,010 to $141,790 and your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, responsibilities, experience, and location._
