Position Summary
Job Summary/Overview:
As part of The Shared Services Team, located in Seneca Falls, NY, the manager will support the operations of the accounting department in daily/monthly and quarterly financial reporting requirements related to general accounting close activities. This role will assist with the timely and accurate reporting of financial results and provide management with the level of support and information required for the successful day-to-day operation of the business. You will support the accounting team with month-end closings, balance sheet and P&L analysis, and special projects. In addition, you are also responsible for identifying and suggesting appropriate improvements, efficiencies, and follow-up actions that become evident based on the analytical work performed.
Essential ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions of the Role:
Manage 2-3 direct reportsProvide guidance and develop direct reports with support from managementResponsible for Benefits accounting & Reporting for the active employee population, including but not limited to the following:Record Benefits related journal monthly/quarterly entriesLiaise with third party benefits administrators (i.e. WEX, Empower, etc.)Communicate & implement annual medical charge outs.Record 401k monthly supplemental resultsRecord 401k employer match accruals and charge outsRecord LTD valuation resultsOversight over Payroll Accounting, payroll audits and benefit payments.Responsible for WAG Accounting entries & reportingShared responsibility for reviewing and approving repatriation & refinancing entries (facilitating, and working with HQ SEC reporting & HQ Tax teams) to ensure entries are recorded accurately and timely.Prepare and/or review account reconciliations for value centers and Corporate HQ.Responsible for preparing M/Q/A forms and submit to HQPrepare annual Federal & State Tax package informationSupport providing data for quarterly/annual internal and external auditsSupports staff through appropriate training in assigned areas.Participate in special accounting and other projects as assigned.Conduct analysis as needed and or as requested by management, recommend and communicate on results and or resolution.Assist with continuous process improvements/efficienciesAssist in monitoring KPI’s t drive team effectivenessM&A Accounting support Position RequirementsQualifications/Attributes:
BS in Accounting or Finance. MBA or CPA preferred.5-7 years of Accounting/Finance with supervisory experienceExperience in a shared services/centralized services environment, SOA, desired.Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP accounting principles.Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Must be detail oriented.Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Experience with complex ERP systems such as SAP and consolidation software such as Onestream/Hyperion is preferred but not required.Ability to partner, work effectively, and communicate with other team members, departments, and upper management.Proficient in a fast paced, global shared services environment.Ability to work independently to meet deadlines and complete time sensitive projects.#LI-RL1
