$110,000.00/Yr. - $115,000.00/Yr.Actual starting pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.

About This Job
This Accounting Manager will focus on the accounting and reporting for Fixed Assets including leases and capitalized technology projects. As two technical areas in accounting this individual will need to develop expertise in ASC 842 and ASC 350 and will include maintenance. These areas require the ownership of the policies and procedures in these area from the execution of the contracts or the approval of projects through the operational, technical, reporting, and budgeting processes that produce the required external and internal reporting. This role will partner with various business units and project managers across subsidiaries and be involved in the long-term automation of this area.Responsibilities:
Manage accounting across entities and business units for IDS (Internally developed software) and Capitalized Technology Projects including stand-alone, intercompany, and consolidation reportingEnhance automation using existing and new systemsPartner with key business stakeholders and business finance partners to provide guidance on capital versus expense accounting treatment and variance explanations on budget vs actualCoordinate and provide oversight for SEC and other regulatory filingsSupport governance of project process from project approval through payroll and accounts payable, to utilization or disposition, including impairmentManage lease accountingManage prepaid expense accountingManage tax and book depreciationMaintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures, and process documentsLiaison with Technology team on ERP development; and become a super user in this areaMaintain SOX documentation and manage testing in this area guidanceProvide information and documents to internal auditors, external auditors, and regulatorsTraining and mentoring of StaffAd-hoc accounting, internal control and regulatory/compliance research, and other special projectsQualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, with a concentration in accounting or financeCertified Public Accountant License (preferred but not required)5+ years' progressively responsible experience in the accounting function for a bank / other financial institution or in public accounting audits of banks / other financial institutionsExperience with ERP system, preferred OracleDemonstrated experience in organizing, conceptualizing, and prioritizing objectives, and analyzing and processing critical accounting functions in a high growth environmentPrinciples of business writingMicrosoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Office SuiteBachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, with a concentration in accounting or financeAxos Employee Benefits May Include:
