Job Description

The purpose of this job is to manage the general accounting function and oversee the completion of ledger accounts and financial statements.

In this role you will: 

Oversee, lead, and set priorities for the Accounts Receivable teamSelect, coach, train, and develop direct reports to include appraising job performance and conducting performance reviewsEvaluate and make appropriate improvements to internal accounting processes ensuring that practices are in line with the overall goals of the companyDevelop and implement accounting practices and proceduresOversee preparation of budgets and forecastsCoordinate accounting services and integrate with operating needs

The following additional duties may also be required:
* Handle escalated issues which required additional support and approval
* Ensure analyses and reconciliations are performed to detect fraud

QualificationsMinimum high school diploma or equivalent certificate requiredBachelor’s degree in finance or accounting preferredMinimum seven years’ experience in accounting or related area requiredMaster’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or related field preferredCPA preferredAdvanced Microsoft Office skillsFamiliarity with Lawson or similar softwareIntermediate knowledge of Monarch, Ascence software, and ReconNet or similar reconciling software required (ReconNet preferred)Familiarity with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), and tax lawsFamiliarity with Structured Query Language (SQL) programming language for data managementExperience working with large volumes of data from disparate sources and ability to turn results into meaningful and actionable intelligenceFamiliarity with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), and tax lawsFamiliarity with Structured Query Language (SQL) programming language for data managementExperience working with large volumes of data from disparate sources and ability to turn results into meaningful and actionable intelligence
