In your new role, you will be responsible for independently performing and managing Actuarial audits across all entities and lines of business in the AZAP region
You'll be responsible for:
Plans, executes, and performs the risk assessment of audits of actuarial functions (i.e. Corporate Actuarial and Actuarial Pricing in Life, PC and Health) and audits where actuarial experience is preferred ( i.e. Corporate Actuarial, Risk Capital and Risk Figure Calculation, Technical Product Controlling in Life, PC and Health, Reinsurance Management, Accounting & Financial Closing incl. IFRS 9/17 and Investment Management) In alignment with the Senior Audit Manager, plans, executes, and performs the risk assessment of audits of activities under the CFO area (i.e. Cost Accounting & Allocation, Regulatory Reporting, Cash Transaction & Account Reconciliation, Planning and Controlling, Qualitative Risk Management, Tax and Capital Management). Performs and supervises two or more audits concurrently Maintains relationships with the C-suite in the CFO and Technical Product areas across all OEs (including regional stakeholders) and lines of business Monitors OE developments through regular interactions with regional and OE Chief Actuaries and product/pricing teams and reflects these insights in the Actuarial audit risk assessment As regional audit subject-matter expert, provides inputs to reports/submissions in Actuarial and is a point of reference for questions from the regional audit community Provides consultative support in Actuarial regional projects
Important to your success:
Bachelor-level education in a Finance and/or quantitative discipline (i.e. mathematics, economics, physics, engineering). More than 3 years of actuarial experience preferably with internal/external audit experience Strong technical (actuarial) and ethical characteristics Ability to see the "big picture" and also curious and driven Ability to deal with all types of people and business situations Trusted partner to the business Open-minded, a good listener, able to empathize with the auditee and understand the situation from their perspective. Good communication skills - to tactfully bring across the issues both verbally and in the report Proficient in MS Office - Word, Excel and PowerPoint Experience in performing audits of Corporate Actuarial, Actuarial Pricing, Risk Capital Calculation, Technical Product Controlling and Reinsurance Management or have Valuation-related Actuarial experience Sound knowledge and understanding of Finance activities and processes such as accounting, planning & controlling or reporting Fluency in Mandarin, Bahasa, or Thai would be an advantage Knowledge and understanding of risk management, reinsurance and investment management Prior exposure to IFRS and Solvency II requirements would be an advantage Certification Required: Professional Actuary Certification
