American Express National Bank (AENB) is American Express’ U.S. banking operation serving consumer and small business customers with payments, financing, and savings products. AENB accounts for more than 60% of the overall company’s revenues and net income. AENB HQ drives the administration of programs and services provided by AENB, in partnership with the various businesses, functions and executive officers. The AENB COO Office also plays an enterprise role in driving greater consistency, effectiveness, and efficiency across the first line via its Strategic Planning, Control Management, Program Management, and Governance functions.
How will you make an impact in this role?
The Manager, Affiliate & AENB Governance Reporting will be responsible for various the end-to-end creation of various team presentations including presentations for senior leaders, committees, and regulators. The Manager will report to the Director, Enterprise Affiliate Management Governance, Monitoring, and Reporting, but will also be responsible for directly supporting the VP, Affiliate & AENB Governance in team-wide strategy and ad hoc projects. To be successful in this role, the candidate must have experience in developing, executing, and managing multiple and diverse work streams critical to the efficient operations of the team. The individual will be responsible for a broad range of activities including project management, communications, and talent initiatives to help ensure business objectives are achieved. The Manager will need to possess outstanding thought leadership, strategic thinking, presentation creation, analytical and organizational skills and will have a proven record of excellence, operating independently and thriving within a high performing team environment. The ideal candidate must also be comfortable with project management, budget management, and implementing processes.
Key responsibilities:
End-to-end, strategic creation of various team presentations including presentations for senior leaders, committees, and regulators Support VP with the development and oversight of business plan and strategic priorities Proven ability to manage an operational budget Provide strategic support on a range of complex issues and lead ad hoc strategic projects as required Work collaboratively across multiple stakeholders including partnering closely with core business partners, other teams across AENB and across the organization Develop and own internal communications strategy for the Affiliate & AENB Governance team Support defining and driving forward Affiliate & AENB Governance strategic initiativesMinimum qualifications:
Ability to craft compelling and effective presentations and materials, and break down complex ideas into understandable and actionable messages Excellent organization, process management and time management skills Intellectual curiosity and ability to learn quickly Demonstrated strategic capability, with strong attention to detail Strong team player with ability to build relationships and influence decisions to drive results Ability to balance multiple priorities with tight deadlines while remaining flexible Maintain strict confidentiality and operate with the highest levels of integritySalary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
