We’re looking for a highly technical and hands-on Manager, Application Engineering to lead a team of talented Application Engineers and QA professionals. This role is all about driving innovation, building award-winning products, and mentoring a team to deliver exceptional results. WHAT YOU'LL DO

Manage day-to-day activities for the Application Engineering teamHandle People Operations responsibilities, including performance reviews and coachingPlan and schedule projects, allocate resources, and ensure timely deliveryMotivate and guide team members through mentoring, counseling, and team-buildingCoach engineers to help them grow into senior rolesCollaborate with Business Product Owners to define priorities and secure resourcesWork closely with other Technology Managers and cross-functional stakeholdersHelp set and implement policies and procedures for application quality, standards, and testingDrive process improvements within the team and across TechnologyEstablish training programs tailored to individual growth needsProvide guidance to Lead Application Engineers and support their mentorship effortsAdditional duties as assigned

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

7+ years of experience with Java or .NET7+ years of experience in industry standard relational database solutions like SQL Server or PostgresProven experience leading technical projects and providing mentorship to development team membersStrong unit testing experienceExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentHighly self-motivated and able to work independently or in a teamExperience building highly scalable software solutionsSubject matter expertise in at least one technical trackProven ability to lead a team of 3+ members and manage multi-quarter projectsBachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience

N-Tier and SaaS development experiencePrior experience as a people leader
