CVP is seeking an experienced leader in health care policy operations and federal agency policy writing to foster strong client relationships with a leading federal agency supporting veterans through emerging technologies. You will make an impact by translating complex technical concepts into clear, concise policy documents, and other written materials.

Imagine the positive change you will make in supporting federal agency clients in developing, refining, and implementing key policy initiatives related to Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare. Specifically, you will help improve the lives of veterans and their families by crafting thoughtful and actionable policies, providing clear and compelling recommendations, and supporting strategic health initiatives.

Responsibilities Lead Federal Policy Writing: Spearhead the development of AI-related federal policies, ensuring compliance with VA regulations and Executive Order 14110. Collaborate with stakeholders to draft, edit, and finalize documents.Technical Writing: Write and review various technical documents, translating complex AI concepts into clear, actionable policies, SOPs, and strategic health initiatives.Policy Support: Facilitate the creation of standardized AI policies to ensure project interoperability and alignment with VA/VHA regulations.Documentation for AI Projects: Provide written documentation on the progress and outcomes of AI initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including federal agencies and international entities, to support policy creation, workforce training, and change management initiatives for digital health technologies.Quality Control: Apply quality control measures to writing tasks, ensuring consistency and professionalism, while incorporating risk mitigation strategies for AI implementation.Program Implementation: Manage analysis, process improvement, and the implementation of AI programs across federal health medical centers.Team Collaboration & Leadership: Support senior leadership in decision-making by providing program performance analysis, risk assessments, and recommendations for improvement. Qualifications Education: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as healthcare, public policy, government, or communications is required. A Master’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is preferred. Experience: 6–10 years of professional experience in healthcare, federal government consulting, and policy writing. Experience supporting Veterans Affairs (VA) or Veterans Health Administration (VHA) is preferred. Policy Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in federal policy development, with a focus on AI healthcare initiatives. In-depth knowledge of Trustworthy AI principles and AI applications in healthcare. Research & Analytical Skills: Proficient in policy analysis, health economics, insurance systems, and data privacy regulations. Expertise in statistical analysis and research methodologies. Technical Writing: Proven ability to write, edit, and format federal policy documents and technical government documents. Strong ability to translate complex AI concepts for diverse audiences. Advanced proficiency with MS Office suite and familiarity with data analysis tools.Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical ideas to diverse stakeholders, from laypersons to experts. Detail-oriented: Demonstrated ability to ensure accuracy, clarity, and attention to detail in all written materials. Project Management: Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. Clearance: Ability to obtain a US government security clearance.
