The Manager of Asset Management provides regional oversight for a geographically focused portfolio of 10-15 multifamily properties. It involves comprehensive ownership of asset performance throughout the full life cycle and servant leadership of cross-functional teams through clear communication of objectives and accountability of self and others

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Reviewing acquisition candidates, conducting due diligence, evaluating finances and renovation plans, and performing market analysis for rent recommendations. Includes working with the team to define the business plan for each acquired asset.

Leading asset teams to complete renovations and address property-specific issues for recent acquisitions. Responsibilities include executing the 120-Day Plan, creating the Final Asset Plan for renovations, and ensuring the repositioning plan is completed and the asset is stabilized.

Leading asset team calls, providing follow-up notes and action plans, and coordinating team efforts to drive progress. Will be reviewing weekly and monthly reports to identify issues affecting revenues and NOI, and collaborating with Operations and Construction to address them.

Addressing special situation assets with issues affecting cash flow, potentially requiring communication with owners or lenders. This includes collaborating with Operations, Financial Services/Accounting, and Construction to understand and resolve underlying issues. Additional investigations, such as market surveys or financial analyses, may be needed to make informed recommendations.

Collaborating with Financial Services, Operations, and Construction to guide and approve annual operating and capital budgets for all Bell assets.

Identifying value-adding opportunities, such as renovation programs and expense reductions, completing CapEx walks and approving unbudgeted CapEx.

Work with Investor Relations and Fund Accounting to address owner/investor inquiries and provide property/market commentary for institutional reporting.

Coordinating with internal resources (e.g., Accounting, Financial Services, IT) to address property-specific issues, improve income and expense control, and support innovation in design, renovation planning, execution, and monitoring.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

BA or BS required; BBA / MBA preferred

Minimum 8 years of experience; at least 5 years of real estate investment related experience

Preference for multifamily real estate experience (asset management, investments, portfolio management, construction/rehab) and knowledge of Bell multifamily markets

Must demonstrate Bell Core Values and fit well within company culture

Demonstrate financial acumen, research and analytical skills; strong problem-solving skills and quantitative abilities; must be able to absorb large amounts of data quickly and be capable of reaching sound business decisions after reviewing available information;

Must be resourceful, possess excellent organizational skills (i.e. handling multiple priorities and coordinating large teams) and strong written/oral communication skills;

Demonstrate solid judgment and strong interpersonal skills to work effectively across departments and functional groups, using influencing skills

Flexibility in working hours and travel as required to accomplish the work

Must be proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook. Yardi preferred

Must be able to drive to visit assets and markets
