Manager, Billing & Contracts

This position would require a hybrid work schedule of 3 days per week onsite and 2 days remote out of our Brentwood, TN office location.  

This position pays $81,700 - $97,100.

 

SUMMARY: The Manager, Billing and Contracts reviews contracts and customer invoices for accounting compliance and accuracy.  Identifies and resolves any discrepancies or issues related to contract billing.  Ensures contractual terms and conditions are aligned with company policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The incumbent should be able to perform all of the following functions at a pace and level of performance consistent with the job performance requirements.

1.              Reviews and analyzes contracts and agreements from various sources such as vendors, customers, partners, and internal departments. Ensures contractual terms and conditions are aligned with company policies and procedures.        

2.              Coordinates with other accounting functions such as accounts receivables and billing,           facility accounting managers, and facility business managers to ensure proper revenue recognition and timely and accurate collections.

3.              Prepares and maintains updated facility checklists for billable items per related partner contract amendments.  Ensures checklists for new contracts are created and distributed to facilities timely.

4.              Communicates and works with contract managers, legal counsel, and external auditors on contract accounting matters.  Clarifies information related to questions regarding billable items identified during contract and/or amendment reviews.

5.              Provides guidance and training to facility and FSC staff on contract abstracts, checklists, and billing language.

6.              Assists with ad hoc requests and answers questions about facility checklists, contract abstracts, accounts receivables balances, trial balances and revenue issues. Helps with entering invoices and cash reports and researching aging accounts receivables reports.  Works with partner for resolution of unpaid accounts and escalates to internal team and/or management, as needed.           

7.              Stays informed of amendments to partner contracts and maintains an up-to-date abstract of all contract terms related to billing.  Maintains a working knowledge of all applicable corporate accounting policies.

8.              Domestic U.S. travel may be required.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Political Science, Criminal Justice or a related field. Two years of experience in contract analysis or an accounting related field is required. Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, accuracy and quality is required. Must demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.  Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
