Manager, Blue Book Gemstone Procurement

The Manager, Blue Book Procurement, plays a key strategic role in managing the ethical sourcing and project management for Tiffany & Co.s Blue Book collections, custom orders, and connoisseur stone events. This role requires strong project management capabilities, exceptional cross-functional collaboration, and expertise in supplier relationship management. The Manager ensures that all procurement activities align with established standards of quality, ethics, budgets and timing while leading a high-performing team and supporting long-term business growth.

Key Accountabilities

Project Management

Oversee the end-to-end procurement process for Blue Book gemstones, ensuring timely availability in alignment with Design and Product Development deadlines. Develop, implement, and manage sourcing project plans that align with business timelines, quality standards, and budget parameters. Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to define procurement objectives, proactively manage risks, and ensure alignment with merchandising and product development strategies. Continuously evaluate and refine procurement processes to improve agility, operational efficiency, and speed to market. Provide monthly reports on challenges and risks, offering actionable solutions to mitigate potential issues and meet business objectives.

Cross-functional Team Collaboration

Serve as a central liaison across internal partners, including Category Management, Design, Product Development, Grading Labs and Operations, to ensure procurement activities support business deadlines. Partner with European Procurement team for procurement alignment.

Leadership and Staff Development:

Lead and develop a high-performing team by setting performance expectations, delivering ongoing feedback, and conducting performance evaluations to foster growth. Cultivate a high-performance culture focused on accountability, innovation, and continuous development. Proactively identify and implement talent development strategies, offering training, mentorship, and upskilling opportunities to enhance both technical and leadership competencies within the team.

Supplier Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong partnerships with approved gemstone suppliers, ensuring consistent communication. Oversee supplier performance management by understanding market availability, skillset strengths, quality consistency, service provided, and proactive issue resolution. Negotiate supplier terms and pricing while upholding Tiffany & Co.s commitment to responsible and ethical sourcing. Explore and evaluate new supplier opportunities to drive innovation, cost optimization, and long-term supply security.

Safety

Demonstrate safety leadership by adherence to workplace safety policies and procedures. Recognize and positively reinforce good safety behaviors while delivering immediate, specific, and constructive feedback to employees who demonstrate unsafe work behavior.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Business, Arts, or a related field; gemological certification preferred At least 5 years of experience in gemstone and/or diamond procurement, product development or manufacturing, preferably within the luxury jewelry industry. Experience in leading and managing high-functioning teams Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across functional areas and with external partners Commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity, quality, and customer service

Preferred Qualifications

GIA Graduate Gemologist Experience with Product Development or jewelry manufacturing

The hiring range for this position ranges from $122,485.00 - $144,100.00. The rate of pay offered will be dependent uponcandidates relevant skills and experience.
