Manager, Brand Integration & Governance

The role of the Corporate Brand organization is to combine a deep understanding of our global consumer with strategies, initiatives and campaigns to both protect and grow our brands and key franchises. 

The Manager, Brand Integration & Governance will help ensure the successful execution of our enterprise-wide YouTube initiative and manage the ongoing governance required for our branded YouTube channels.  The Manager will be responsible for managing policies for our YouTube channels and working with stakeholders from across the company to ensure compliance and successful growth across key metrics.

Responsibilities:

Governance

Oversee governance and tracking of The Walt Disney Company’s YouTube CMS ecosystems and underlying channels

Areas of focus include, but are not limited to user permissions, advertising policy, etc.

Execute permission requests for all CMS across TWDC by enforcing security and access controls

Quarterly review of AdSense policies across the larger Disney ecosystem, routing potential changes to key stakeholders

Ensure channels are adequately categorized as MFK vs GA and are properly integrated into their respective environments.

Policy Oversight

Help define policies for use across the enterprise including, but not limited to, channel management, monetization, compliance, etc.

Track adherence to policies and suggest changes and improvements over time

Strategy execution

Help facilitate the successful processing of new channel creation or deprecation

Coordinate the transfer of videos across channels with necessary stakeholders

Coordinate the migration of channels between Disney Owned & Operated Content Managers.

Liaison between content stakeholders and Disney Anti-Piracy.

Reporting

Strong understanding of YouTube Analytics and ability to report on channel performance and revenue as needed

Ensure regular distribution of finance reporting to key stakeholders

Collaboration & communication:

Serve as the key contact to work with YouTube stakeholders across the enterprise on any governance related topic

Maintain regular relationships with external partners to ensure awareness and understanding of platform updates and changes over time

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience and knowledge of YouTube channel management, key performance metrics, business development, strategic thinking, relationship management and performance analytics.

Basic Qualifications:

5+ years of digital content background with dedicated focus on YouTube

5+ years of entertainment experience

YouTube Certified (Content Ownership and Asset Management)

Capable and comfortable with quantitative analysis

Can work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a proactive and positive attitude and a desire to get things done

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $ 137,100 to $167,500 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
