In this highly visible role, you will have the chance to create a significant impact on Apple Products and leave a footprint for years to come.DescriptionDescription- You will partner with multi-functional teams (Display, and touch sensor) to evaluate design and processes at the concept phase and perform manufacturing feasibility studies. - Develop measurement technologies, control strategies, information systems, and manufacturing methods that achieve daring specifications on new processes never tested at mass production scale - You will develop and implement groundbreaking quality inspection tools to evaluate cosmetic and dimensional part characteristics - Compile and evaluate data to determine appropriate limits and variables for process and part specifications - Lead activities to balance unparalleled quality with scalable yields - Collaborate with internal and external groups to ensure that accurate definition of quality expectations and that appropriate assurance techniques are used for the product - You will coordinate and prioritize all Quality Engineering functions for multiple program for team members - Continue to expand the capabilities of the team and recruit new engineers - Establish audit procedures appropriate to program and supplier to ensure alignment to Apple quality standards - Evaluate and communicate yields of new and existing processes - Drive corrective actions multi-functionally with internal and external team membersMinimum QualificationsMinimum QualificationsBS degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering.Proven experience in supplier quality and manufacturing, including 5+ years of leading a team of engineersExperience developing process quality plans, supplier quality audits, and driving corrective actions and failure analysis effortsSolid understanding of mechanical quality and reliability concepts, supplier management, and general manufacturing operationsSolid understanding of mechanical design, tolerances stacks and earlier design reviews from design intents, process selections and capability studies, process abnormal detectionsSolid knowledge on DOE and statistic analysisExperience with the development and evaluation of measurement systemsProject management experience and a deep understanding of problem solving tools including design of experiments, root cause analysis and statistical analytical toolsExcellent on net-it-out communications and exec level presentationsKey QualificationsKey QualificationsPreferred QualificationsPreferred QualificationsExperience with any of the following: mechanical enclosures, castings, plastic parts, injection molding, stamping, tooling, jigs, fixtures, or automotive high volume quality manufacturing engineeringExperience in brittle materials/display/touch/semi-conductor technologyKnowledge of Statistics, Data Science, Machine LearningEducation & ExperienceEducation & ExperienceAdditional RequirementsAdditional RequirementsMore
