We are looking for a Manager, Business Intelligence to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies. This role will report to the Dir, Business Intelligence & Proposal Management and is based in San Jose, CA.

Role Summary

Bloom Energy is seeking a strategic and data-driven Manager of Business Intelligence to lead market and competitive intelligence efforts that directly support executive decision-making and commercial strategy. This role will be central to delivering high-impact insights, supporting strategic planning, and building scalable systems.

Key ResponsibilitiesConduct deep research on competitors, technologies, and market dynamics across core and emerging geographies.Deliver monthly “market watch” insights, customer briefing documents, and executive-ready materials.Support strategic deliverables including Board materials, and QBRs.Lead market sizing and forecasting efforts using scenario-based modeling across segments and geographies.Build robust Excel-based models to support strategic decisions and pricing guidance.Track market fundamentals around gas and electricity prices in key markets and incorporate insights into strategic deliverables and pricing guidance.Build and maintain a centralized market intelligence database with vetted sources, automated data pulls, and defined update cycles.Socialize and iterate the database architecture with internal stakeholders.Manage and mentor a small team, fostering a culture of ownership, curiosity, and continuous improvement.Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of insights aligned with editorial calendars and strategic priorities.Partner with Sales, Strategy, Policy, and Enablement teams to align intelligence efforts with business goals.Contribute to competitive positioning, objection handling, and market outlooks for target geographies.Preferred QualificationsMBA or equivalent advanced degree.5 years of experience in the energy industry, with understanding of key technologies, market dynamics, and policy frameworks.Strong proficiency in Excel modeling and data analysis; familiarity with visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau is a plus.Excellent communication and storytelling skills, especially in executive settings.
