Data plays a central role at Paramount. As part of the Data & Insights Group (DIG), our Business Intelligence team is crucial to our success. Together we drive business, content, product, and operational decisions by providing rich data, strategic insights, and analytical products. We are looking for Business Intelligence Manager, who is passionate about data and entertainment and thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The position is anchored around our SVOD service Paramount+, which includes a wealth of established library content across CBS, MTV Entertainment Group, Nickelodeon, Showtime and more, together with its growing Originals’ slate, such as Tulsa King, Mayor of Kingstown, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds; RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars,, Dexter: Original Sin, Landman, Lioness, Ink Master, Frasier, DORA, "Criminal Minds", The Chi, Yellowjackets, Knuckles and many more!

This role be leading a team of Analysts who provide deep analysis across multiple systems, centered on content, subscriber lifecycle dynamics and the audience of Paramount+ (US). You will be responsible for the growth, development, job satisfaction and work queues of your direct reports. You will partner with client groups to conceive projects and analyses that "matter", answer key questions, and illuminate a path forward. You will manage multiple projects and collaborate with stakeholders and internal teams to ensure outstanding projects are completed!

 

Your Day-to-Day:

Project planning and prioritization, including shepherding major initiatives and steering multi-analyst/multi-team projects. This will include collaborating with partners from the Data & Insights Group, Stakeholders and Third Party resources Partnering with Data Science to conduct analyses that further improve existing models or inform new models within the content and subscriber lifecycle continuum Crafting, and developing repeatable analysis frameworks, visualizations (including dashboards) pertaining to subscription and/or content analytics Communicating insights, advanced analyses, and recommendations in a narrative fashion tailored to any data customer up to and including executives Guide a team of analysts with a variety of abilities, responsibilities, and data customers Research industry trends and communicate how these could potentially impact the business Collaborate with Data Engineering team leads to build appropriate data infrastructure to facilitate the real-time reporting needs

 

Key Projects (examples):

Support Senior Leads in strategic and tactical decision-making through advanced, detailed analyses and recommendations Responsible for continued refinement of content and/or subscription focused KPIs and methodologies, based on the current needs of the business and industry standards Ensure the team is delivering high-impact insights and recommendations, through review, optimization and elevation of content/subscription analytics Collaborating with Senior Leads on roadmap development Communicate project deliverables, passionate about content and subscription performance Correlate streaming behaviors to lifecycle dynamics to understand how certain behaviors affect subscribers’ tenure in the service Illuminate programming opportunities for Paramount+, through leading internal and competitor intelligence analysis Identifying and reviewing tracking and measurement requirements, data sourcing and structure, and validating that data Conduct analysis around Subscriber Segmentation, to identify key behaviors of diverse groups that we can use to improve Paramount+’s programming, scheduling, retention, product experience and its marketing  

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or in a related field or equivalent experience (Master’s degree/MBA preferred) 4 to 6 years experience in digital marketing/entertainment sector 4+ years of experience in the data science, analytics, consulting, strategy & operation field Demonstrable experience leading a team effectively in a fluid environment, against tight deadlines A proven track record of delivering actionable analysis and insights particularly to senior leadership Expert in SQL; familiar with Python, R and other data science technologies Knowledgeable in industry leading digital analytics and tracking technologies (eg. Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics) Strong understanding of industry leading BI and data visualization Tools (eg. Tableau, QlikView, Power BI, Looker Studio etc)

 

You might also have:

Strong mathematics, statistics background Experience using project management tools like those from Atlassian (JIRA, Confluence) Experience using Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery) A background in SVOD or other subscription-based digital services
