Are you interested in innovating to deliver a world-class service to Amazon’s Selling Partners? The AMPS program is designed to improve the customer and Selling Partner experience on Amazon by empowering Merchant Consultants to work directly with Selling Partners to improve the value, selection and convenience of their business. Our team will invent and innovate across technology, process and people to grow the program, improve seller engagement and satisfaction, and enable solutions through direct collaboration with the global teams. AMPS is looking for a leader to join us as a Manager, Business Operations to develop and scale our Paid Services business launched in 2020. The candidate will be responsible for maximizing MC productivity and effectiveness through automation and AI, while leading a team of Business Operation Managers. You will be expected to develop improvement plans to achieve the overall business outcome based on a clear analysis of the gap between now and the future. You will play a key role in developing our portfolio of Paid Services solutions with cross-functional teams and colleagues in the US, EU and China, in addition to Japan.
The ideal candidate will have experience successfully hiring, managing and developing team members with technical skills, as well as the ability to set a vision for a team and put the right mechanisms in place to keep team members focused on delivering results. S/he will have a high degree of autonomy and a proven track record of taking end-to-end responsibility and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.


Key job responsibilities
- Lead a team in hiring, managing, and developing team members.
- Define analytical approaches to complex or ambiguous business requirements, derive business insights from multiple data sources, and develop strategies to maximize the productivity of AMPS sales teams.
- Drive key initiatives to improve sales efficiency and quality in partnership with domestic/global teams.
- Lead projects to address key cross-functional opportunities that impact Selling partners.
- Design and implement operational excellence improvements. Integrate data analysis and field issues to generate ideas, build effective mechanisms and drive continuous improvement.
- Provide regular project updates to senior leadership, including key successes/challenges.
- Understand how to thrive in an ambiguous environment and lead teams without line of sight to a clear solution in the short term.
