**Company:** Qualcomm Incorporated **Job Area:** Operations Group, Operations Group > Business Operations **General Summary:** **Key contributor to the QTL revenue forecast process, including quarterly outlooks and earnings, annual Budget, long-term Strategic Plan, scenario analysis, and ad hoc projects** **Help lead forecasting the global 3G/4G/5G Handset device sales which is a key driver of Qualcomm’s licensing revenue** **Heavy modeling role as well as key contributor to assumptions and market drivers; with main emphasis on accurately forecasting Global Handset shipments by tech (3G/4G/5G ) and by region.** **Ability to Analyze and summarize data from historical trends, third party market research, analyst reports, and device OEM earnings call materials to derive forecast assumptions and recommendations** **Provide key market analysis, assumptions and messaging that influence management decision making** **Minimum Qualifications:** • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, Marketing, or related field and 7+ years of business operations or related experience. OR Associate's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, Marketing, or related field and 9+ years of business operations or related experience. **Preferred Qualifications:** • Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, related field or related professional certification (CPA etc.) • 4+ years of experience working in a large matrixed organization. • 3+ years of relevant technology industry experience. • 3+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Sr Director level and above). **Principal Duties and Responsibilities:** • Creates and Reviews HS Market plan • Monitors and updates forecast based on all available data sources (e.g., historical trends, internal and third party data, analyst reports, etc. ). • Collaborates in managing forecasting, analysis and reports of key metrics across multiple tools or systems. • Guides others on gathering, integrating, and interpreting information from a variety of sources. Seeks information within and across teams to help identify fundamental patterns/trends. • Manages team project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables for large and/or multiple projects. **Level of Responsibility:** • Works independently with little supervision. • Provides supervision to direct reports. • Decisions are more significant in their impact, influencing overall program or project success, finances, and/or the ability to meet objectives. Errors are not readily apparent due to the complexity of work process/product or time between decisions and results. Errors typically result in significant expenditure of time, resources, and funds to correct. • Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey complex and/or detailed information to multiple individuals/audiences with differing knowledge levels. Role may require strong negotiation and influence, communication to large groups or high-level constituents. • Has a moderate amount of influence over key organizational decisions (e.g., is consulted by senior leadership to make key decisions). • Most tasks require multiple steps which can be performed in various orders; tasks require simultaneously executing multiple cognitive abilities and maintaining information in short or long-term memory while performing the task. • Exceptional creativity is needed to innovate new ideas and develop innovative products/ processes without established objectives or known parameters. • Deductive and inductive problem solving is required; multiple approaches may be taken/necessary to solve the problem; often information is missing or conflicting; advanced data analysis and interpretation skills are required. • Occasionally participates in strategic planning within own area affecting immediate operations.
