Manager, Business Strategy

The Manager of Strategic Planning will play a critical role in driving business growth and supporting long-term strategic initiatives. This individual will be responsible for leading the development of data-driven strategies, creating compelling business narratives, and delivering actionable insights to cross-functional teams and senior leadership. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to translate complex data into clear, impactful stories, while maintaining a pulse on competitive trends and business performance through robust KPI reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Storytelling Develop and articulate clear, cohesive business strategies that align with company goals. Translate complex data and strategic insights into compelling narratives and presentations for executive leadership. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and consistency of the company's strategic direction. Drive stakeholder engagement by telling a cohesive business story that supports decision-making. Competitive Insights & Market Analysis Conduct in-depth competitive analysis to identify market opportunities, threats, and trends that could impact the business. Monitor industry trends, competitive positioning, and regulatory changes to provide strategic insights to the leadership team. Develop actionable recommendations based on competitive insights to strengthen the company’s market positioning. KPI Reporting & Performance Management Develop, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) that align with strategic business goals. Lead the creation of dashboards and other tools to provide real-time visibility into business performance. Analyze data to identify areas of strength, opportunity, and potential risk, presenting these insights in a clear, concise manner. Work closely with finance, marketing, and operational teams to ensure strategic goals are reflected in KPIs and performance metrics. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with finance, marketing, product development, and operations teams to align strategic objectives and performance goals. Support business units in the development of their strategic plans and ensure these align with overall company strategy. Facilitate workshops and strategy sessions to gather insights from key stakeholders and drive collective strategic thinking. Leadership & Communication Present strategic plans and performance updates to senior management and executive teams. Lead and mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative environment focused on strategic growth and data-driven decision-making. Serve as a strategic advisor to leadership, offering insights and recommendations to improve the company’s competitive edge and performance.

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in strategic planning, competitive analysis, or a related role. Strong ability to analyze data, draw insights, and tell a compelling business story. Experience in competitive market research and trend analysis. Proven experience developing and reporting on KPIs and performance metrics. Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels. Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau) and strategic planning frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in a strategy role within a dynamic industry. Strong understanding of financial analysis and modeling. Experience managing or mentoring a team. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA preferred.

Salary Range: $­­122,000 to $143,000 annually + bonus eligibility. This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors.
