Manager, Category Insights
Job Overview

The Manager of Category Insights provides valuable insights for our Sales Team by leveraging data from various sources to construct dynamic presentations that build strong partnerships with key retailers.  This role will be customer facing and responsible for conducting in-person and virtual category reviews.  

Job Responsibilities Leverage syndicated data to provide analyses and insights on trends and opportunities within core segments, channels, and retailers. Translate market knowledge and understanding of trends into actionable business recommendations. Deliver best-in-class category reviews with customers. Develop strategies in line with customer objectives that will maximize sales and profitability. Assist with research and ad hoc requests that deliver solutions to the customer. Communicate insights in a clear, concise, and simple to understand manner that allow key stakeholders to quickly grasp the issue and set appropriate strategies. Effectively deliver the insights across a variety of formats as needed to tell the story to the given audience (verbal, email, spreadsheets, charts and presentations). Ability to proactively and strategically support key internal teams such as Sales, Supply Chain, and Product Development through reporting and insights that track consumer behavior, promotional activity, and new items. Other responsibilities as assigned by the manager.
  Required Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field. 3-5+ years of experience in a Category Management function. Working knowledge of CPG Category Management processes, measures and principals. Microsoft Office (strong Excel/PowerPoint skills), prior experience working with a syndicated data platform such as Nielsen or IRI. Ability to tell a story with data. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate impactful insights.  Ability to travel up to 25%. Must be legally authorized to work for a company in the United States without sponsorship.
  Preferred Education and Experience Master’s degree.
