**What to Expect:**
The Manager, Category Leadership develops and executes Customer/Category Business Plans that are aligned to Nestle strategic category growth opportunities. By providing insights, analytics, and category reviews, the Manager Category Leadership unlocks department and category growth solutions for prioritized Customer/Channel opportunities.
Additionally, they provide project management leadership for these category growth projects and drive the customer and portfolio segmentation process internally. The Manager Category Leadership provides insights to support long term and annual business planning to drive customer centricity. They lead the annual Integrated Commercial Planning process and build capabilities in category leadership across the commercial teams.
**A day in the life of a Manager, Category Leadership:**
**Driving Category Growth:**
+ Leads customer portfolio segmentation process and brings clarity to the category growth drivers to unlock growth. Provides project management to these prioritized opportunities.
+ Facilitates updates to strategic category narratives and category drivers, reflecting current shopper and customer environment
+ Active source of industry and category insight leveraging data and analysis to support planning and execution
+ Collaborates with the Shopper Marketing Manager to align retail and OMNI activation strategies, providing expertise to enhance customer-level sell-in
**Embed & Lead Change/Build Capability:**
+ Builds capability across commercial team through critical thinking approaches.
+ Promotes active learning on category drivers and global insights.
+ Develops training on strategic category planning and fact-based narratives.
+ Shares performance insights related to category leadership projects for scalability, ROI, course correction
+ Facilitates access to tools and solutions for customers and selling organization, while fostering local understanding of global insights.
**Role Requirements**
+ Minimum 6 years in progressive sales or marketing roles, and over this period has successfully delivered on key KPI’s
+ Demonstrated ability to participate and collaborate across commercial teams.
+ Understand all sales functions i.e. Category & Shopper Development, Customer, Retail Sales
+ Demonstrated understanding of Shopper Data and Analytics (Shopper Intelligence, Numerator and Nielsen)
+ Effective communication, negotiation and strong leadership skills are required to express analytics and deliver presentations to various levels within the organization
+ Advanced computer skills, specifically with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Power BI is an asset.
+ Experience with Retailer POS & Loyalty platforms considered an asset
